Key Responsibilities
- Translate 2D concept art or sketches into 3D models.
- Develop original 3D models based on project briefs and technical specifications.
- Create 3D models using various techniques like polygonal modeling, subdivision modeling, and sculpting.
- Add details, textures, and surface imperfections for realism and visual interest.
- Ensure proper topology for efficient animation and deformation of the model.
- Optimize models for specific platforms or engines to meet performance requirements.
- Create UV maps to wrap 2D textures onto the 3D model's surface.
- Apply textures, materials, and shaders to enhance the model's visual appearance.
- Set up lighting and camera angles to create desired mood and atmosphere in the scene.
- Work closely with other artists, designers, and animators to ensure consistency and achieve project goals.
