Performance Marketer

About this Role

A Performance Marketer is the strategist behind those targeted ads you see everywhere, the mastermind behind in-game offers that keep you hooked, and the analysts who ensure every marketing dollar delivers maximum impact. They turn clicks into engaged players and in-app purchases, using data analysis, campaign optimization, and creative A/B testing, constantly tweaking and refining their strategies to attract the right players, keep them playing, and ultimately, generate revenue for the game. They're the bridge between marketing magic and financial reality, ensuring every campaign delivers a quantifiable return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze player data, identify target audiences, and craft targeted campaigns across various channels (social media, mobile ads, influencer partnerships) to optimize player acquisition and engagement.
  • Allocate resources effectively, negotiate vendor contracts, and continuously monitor campaign performance using data analytics to maximize ROI and minimize risk.
  • Experiment with different ad formats, visuals, messaging, and audience targeting to identify the most effective combinations and improve campaign performance.
  • Monitor metrics like cost-per-install (CPI), conversion rates, retention rates, and player lifetime value (LTV) to assess campaign effectiveness and inform strategic adjustments.
  • Continuously learn about emerging marketing channels, data analysis tools, and advertising platforms to adapt strategies and leverage new opportunities for better player acquisition.
  • Work closely with game developers, product managers, community managers, and designers to ensure campaign messaging aligns with the game's features and resonates with the target audience.
  • Utilize attribution models to accurately track player acquisition sources and credit campaigns for their contribution to conversions and revenue.
  • Understand player psychology and behavior, analyze in-app purchase data, and optimize pricing, placement, and timing of offers to maximize revenue generation.
  • Understand and adhere to relevant data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA when collecting and using player data for targeting and analysis.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports for stakeholders, showcasing campaign successes, key learnings, and data-driven recommendations for future initiatives.
